The All Star Break is finally upon us, and TP:60 has put together an All Star lineup to break it all down. Our good friend Sean Gentille from The Sporting News joins us, alongside Puck Daddy’s Justin Bourne and friend of Red Wings fans everywhere, Ryan Lambert. The guys break down who has impressed the most in both conferences and offer up predictions on who will contend for the Cup this summer, before tackling the topic on everyone’s mind this weekend: the All Star Game. From the selection process to NHL’s Guardian project, every angle of the game is addressed, which opens the door for a highly entertaining debate about which player would you build a team around for a single year. Of course, Lambert runs through the hat trick of Discher questions before the end of the show, capping one of the most entertaining  TP:60 episodes to date.

Slow hockey weeks, be damned! TP:60 is back and in your ear this week, albeit without host Chris Hollis. Rob Discher holds down the captain’s chair yet again (despite another round of technical difficulties that makes him sound like a dance remix) and leads fellow TPL’er Michael Petrella, WIM’s Graham Hathway and the newly returned George Malik in a vibrant and entertaining discussion about the Wings woes, Evgeni Nabokov and the upcoming All Star break. The gang also explains Hollis’ mysterious disappearance this week and gets ready for the last week of hockey before the TPL/WIM All Star Showdown.

It’s been awhile, but the gang is all back together on this week’s episode of TP:60. Hollis is back from Vegas, Petrella is kicking it NYC and Disch enjoys his hummus down in Austin as the boys host TP:60’s first recognized “Ladies Night” with Ellen from Big Red Machine and Jess from Bingo Bango. The squad tackles the spotty play of Jimmy Howard, how comfortable Joey MacDonald makes Wings fans feel as Jimmah’s backup and whether or not Henrik Zetterberg was actually “snubbed” from the All Star Game. The group also casts themselves as members of the “Ocean’s 11” franchise, while also talking about everyone’s best “shootout” moves. One word: HorseCop.

Happy New Year from TP:60! The boys were without Host Extraordinairre Christopher J. Hollis, and the damn thing nearly blew up on the launch pad. ALAS, eight hours later, we’ve figured out the ins and outs of the underground world of podcast publication, and Disch and Petrella are proud to bring you the first episode of 2011, featuring very good friends of the program, Joe Yerdon from Pro Hockey Talk at NBC and Jeff Hancock from Brendan Smithsonian Institution.

Give it a listen and hear about Jimmy Howard’s “struggles” when compared to Chris Osgood’s “miracle season” and Joe lets us all know what it was like at the Winter Classic before we devolve into some more Disney talk. Hint: Nude Ren.

Happy Holidays to you and yours from your friends at TP:60! In honor of the festive holiday season, Hollis, Petrella and Disch have gone out of their way to bring you some of the best presents possible on this supersized episode of TP:60. First, the guys unwrap a discussion with Justin Bourne from Puck Daddy, talking hockey, the league and motivation, before jumping into the holiday five pack of ridiculous questions. Then, Greg from The Winged Wheel serenades everyone with “The Jiri Hudler Motivational Song,” which is all but guaranteed to turn your late-shopping frown upside down. After that, Sean Gentille from The Sporting News pops in to answer all the questions that he’s submitted to the panels during this season, while of course chatting a bit of hockey as well. Finally, Jen MacRostie of H2H2 stops by with glad tidings and threats about paying for March’s extravaganza in Detroit.

Even St. Nick knows it’s goin down on TP:60.

Fresh (and hot!) off of a triumphant run to glory with #operationcurlyfries, TP:60 continues to bring the heat this week. Hollis, Petrella and Disch are joined by Casey Richey from Winging It In Motown and Matt Saler from On the Wings in welcoming Grand Rapids Griffins “rookie” Ilari Filppula to the show. Ilari talks about his transition to the American game, how he sees his game developing and what his expectations within the organization are. The older Flip also breaks down who would win in an arm-wrestling match between him and Valtteri, what movie he defaults to during a day on the couch and (of course) which Disney princess is the one for him.

Following the chat with Larry Flip, the gang breaks down the Red Wings blue line, while also trying to figure out when Chris Osgood will get win #400. Per usual, the “Who would you rather?” sweepstakes brings the show home, although with a slight twist this week.

What happened to Michigan State and Jr. Roast Beef? They went down. Just like on TP:60.

Coming off back-to-back losses for the Red Wings, the TP:60 gang is here to help start the healing process. Hollis, Petrella and Disch are back in the studio, joined this week by our good friends J.J. from Kansas from Winging It In Motown and Brian from The Scrappy Octopus. The gang takes a look back at a rough two game stretch for the Wings and wonder if it’s time to push the panic button before going into the weekly “Hound on Hudler” session. The guys also heap the praise on a rejuvenated Jonathan Ericsson before sending the show off a cliff with a second straight week of Disney princess talk. The show also (briefly) welcomes in a special guest, who’s cliffhanger answer will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat.

It’s goin’ down on TP:60. For Curly Fries. 24/7.

The Wings just keep on truckin’ and TP:60 is doing the same. The family is all back together again as Hollis returns to the show with Disch and Petrella, and the guys also welcome in Kris from Snipe Snipe, Dangle Dangle and Greg from The Winged Wheel. The group covers a number of Red Wings topics – including Dan Cleary, the hot start to the season and keeping the intensity up for both players and fans – before veering into uncharted territories in TP:60 Land. After answering a pair of unorthodox questions from one of the regulars on the show, the gang enters into a debate that may never allow you to see Disney characters in the same way, before finally offering up some thoughts on the upcoming week for the Red Wings.

It ain’t going up, so it must be goin’ down on TP:60.

The Red Wings are still red hot, and so is this week’s episode of TP:60. Petrella and Disch take the reigns while Hollis struggles to find his way home in the mess that is Seattle weather. Joining the show this week is our old friend Andy from Fight Night at the Joe, as well as the third member of the Winging It In Motown “hat trick,” Graham Hathway aka “Amerinadian.” The guys tackle everything from the week that was in Red Wings hockey, from the wins to the goals to the lack of top-line production, as well as the idea that playing for a single point is a “good” thing. Andy and Graham also answer the Willa/Duff debate, and the group talks about the launch of Operation: Curly Fries.

It’s going down on TP:60, just like the Junior Roast Beef sandwich.

Two more games and two more wins for the Red Wings, and the TP:60 crew couldn’t be more excited. Petrella and Disch are both back in the saddle this week and join Hollis in welcoming Ellen from Big Red Machine and Jeff Hancock from Brendan Smithsonian Institution to the show. The gang tackles all things Dan Cleary, Todd Bertuzzi and Jiri Hudler, as well as sharing insight into how the Wings should handle the “odd-man out” situation on a nightly basis. The group also shares their thoughts on the Colin Campbell controversy, how Kris Draper fits into the Wings’ plans moving forward and what snacks are a must when it’s date night at the movie theater (as it was for Disch last night.) Of course, it can’t be an episode of TP:60 without having Ellen and Jeff address the Willa/Duff debate that’s been going on the entire season, and the answers don’t disappoint.

Just like Robert Tychkowski, it’s goin’ down on TP:60.
